We thought we’d finish off this year with a prize all about finishing off a major remodeling project (or even just a quick furniture upgrade) the right way. For instance, although we’re spending major time on tile and paint when it comes to our bathroom project – we haven’t forgotten about the little things like fixtures and molding. I have this whole week off of work, and I plan to relax and enjoy the free time in between putting Christmas decorations away and painting our guest bathroom. I want to remove the builder-standard mirror and put in a nice framed one so this gift card would come at a perfect time.
Oh, and I plan to do lots of celebrating. We just celebrated my hubby’s 30th birthday the day after Christmas, and we have both a friend’s birthday AND the hubby’s dad’s birthday on New Year’s Eve. We’ll go out to dinner with friends that night then on to another friend’s house after that to ring in the new year.
Wow, I’m exhausted just thinking about my so-called relaxing week off of work!

Finish me! When we were young, my mom and dad would take us around the neighborhood at midnight and we would bang pots and pans. I don’t know how that one got started! We also call up close family and friends, yell Happy New Year and hang up.
