Fab Freebie: Duet To It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Sherry and I have a system when we paint a room. She edges (aka: cuts in) and I roll. We both claim to have the more difficult job- and sometimes I think we’re both right (hello painting brick?), but this week’s prize could prove us both wrong…

Ryobi Couple Painting

The RYOBI Duet Power Paint System is specially made for two people who, like us, enjoy tackling a paint job together. We haven’t taken one for a spin yet, but the idea that both of us could have fresh paint pumped straight from the can to separate his-and-hers painting attachments (a roller for me, an edger for Sherry) almost makes us want to break out our paint swatches again. Heck, there’s even a sprayer attachment if someone’s feeling particularly daring.

Ryobi Duet Paint System

But since we don’t have any looming paint projects to tackle, we want one lucky winner (and their handy painting assistant) to try this puppy on for size. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: The RYOBI Duet Power Paint System (valued at $116)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DUET TO ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us your favorite musical duet of all time. Are you all about some old-school Sonny and Cher? Or does the more recent Madonna and Justin Timberlake collaboration rock your world?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 11th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anyone in the lower forty-eight US states
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

**Psst- Want more free stuff? One lucky local can snag two coveted tickets to R. Home For The Holidays where guest speaker Eddie Ross will be chatting about seasonal decor by swinging over to our Facebook page and submitting your entry. We wouldn’t miss it for the world!

    DUET TO ME

Let me say that I LOVE this thread–so many songs to look up in itunes now!

I’m thinking mine would be King of the Road, the Rufus Wainwright/Teddy Thompson version. Both great voices. Or else Persuasion, with Teddy Thompson with his dad Richard Thompson.

    DUET TO ME!

for real, my husband and i do enjoy painting together. i could see how this would be a lot of fun (and possibly get us in trouble – paint war, anyone?)…

on my favorite duets? it might seem lame, but michael and janet jackson’s “scream” gets me every time. especially getting to see the video and dancing. love it.

Could use this now as the living room painting began last night. Continues today and Wednesday as well.

Not sure about the duet, but I too like the cross overs.

Duet to me! I have been thinking about painting my old dark 70s wood cabinets and this would make the job a lot easier(and would allow my husband to help) – possibly using the sprayer? My favorite duet is Gwenyth Paltrow and Huey Lewis – Cruisin or I also like Michael Buble and Nelly Furtado- cuando cuando cuando!

    DUET TO ME

While certainly not carrying the odd nostalgia of a David Bowie duet (Bowie and Jagger, Bowie and Crosby, Bowie and Johannson), the vocal prowess of a Josh Groban number (Groban and Church, Groban and Streisand, Groban and Furtado) nor even the “I’m a real singer” validity of duets from the likes of George Michael and Aretha Franklin, I think the best duet (and when I say best I mean most absurd, most original, most incredible, most likely to be played over and over) I cast my vote for:

    Eminem and Elton John!

Yes, who doesn’t remember the much talked about (and rumor dispelling) performance of ‘Stan’ for the Grammy awards?
