Sherry and I have a system when we paint a room. She edges (aka: cuts in) and I roll. We both claim to have the more difficult job- and sometimes I think we’re both right (hello painting brick?), but this week’s prize could prove us both wrong…
The RYOBI Duet Power Paint System is specially made for two people who, like us, enjoy tackling a paint job together. We haven’t taken one for a spin yet, but the idea that both of us could have fresh paint pumped straight from the can to separate his-and-hers painting attachments (a roller for me, an edger for Sherry) almost makes us want to break out our paint swatches again. Heck, there’s even a sprayer attachment if someone’s feeling particularly daring.
But since we don’t have any looming paint projects to tackle, we want one lucky winner (and their handy painting assistant) to try this puppy on for size. Here’s how to enter:

Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazlewood, Joey Ramone and Holly Vincent, Lemmy and Wendy O’Williams…but probably my favorites are Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, so many great songs by those two – Your Precious Love, You’re All I Need To Get By, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (borrowed by Amy Winehouse), Heaven Must Have Sent You. I’ve always liked the Natalie/Nat King Cole duet, I’m a daddy’s girl at heart and he’s a big Nat King Cole fan.
But then again – I also like the fun/funky duets you get when you mix very different artists through the Crossroads duets.

DUET TO ME… What a great product!! We could definitely use this because I always have J roll to reach the higher walls.
I am almost too ashamed to admit it, but my favorite duet is “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. It goes back to growing up. I used to sing it, while wearing cowboy boots naturally, with my uncle before he passed. I told my parents that J and I were going to use it as our first dance song, and I thought they were going to tackle me to make sure it wouldn’t happen. I was kidding, of course.

Given that we’re building a house right now and in just a few short weeks we will be painting the entire thing, this paint system would be AWESOME!!! What a timesaver! My favorite duet (don’t laugh) is Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton on “Islands in the Stream”. Their voices blend beautifully on that song.
