Fab Freebie: Crib Your Enthusiasm

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

In honor of our new nephew’s arrival this week (he’s scheduled to come via C-section on Wednesday!) we’ve got the mother of all baby-themed giveaways courtesy of LaJobi Industries. They’re the makers of stylish baby and youth furniture and this week they’re giving away an eco-friendly crib and crib mattress to one lucky parent (or parent-to-be).

LaJobi Crib

The Dakota crib by Graco is their first environmentally friendly crib – it’s made from sustainable woods, the dark walnut finish is water based and all the packaging comes from recycled materials. Plus, it looks pretty darn good. You can read all the nitty-gritty details about it on Walmart.com, since they’re the exclusive retailer of the Dakota line (which also includes a changing table).

LaJobi Mattress

But an eco-friendly crib wouldn’t be complete without an eco-friendly mattress to pair it with. So LaJobi is throwing in a Serta Nightstar Eco Firm mattress, which is made from organic cotton layers. Together that’s a $330 package that should help both you and your baby sleep better!

  • PRIZE: LaJobi’s Eco-Friendly Dakota Classic Crib by Graco and Serta Nighstar Eco Firm Crib & Toddler Mattress
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CRIB ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what your favorite bedtime story is. Is it a classic like “Goodnight Moon”- or something more progressive like “Captain Underpants?”
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: USA only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I loved any story my dad used to make up to get me and my siblings to go to sleep. They usually involved adventures about the 3 of us.

    CRIB ME, please ;)

My favorite books were ‘Katie the Kitten’ and ‘The House That Had Enough’.

I would be so blessed to win this. My brother and sister-in-law are expecting their second on Friday (C-section as well). TO save money they moved in with her parents. Her mother passed in the beginning of the month from lung cancer, and my brother was recently laid off. They desperately need a new crib, and this would be such a great gift to give to my new little niece.

I used to love the book the Snow Queen, if you have not read it you should check it out. It would make a great kiddie movie too. My dad would read it to me and if he ever skipped a page or read something wrong I would correct him. (It was a long story so he would try to skip pages on me). :)

CRIB ME! (First time commenting) My favorite bedtime story to read to my 3 year-old son is Sleepy Bears. I love it because it’s a series of brief poems and ends with all the bears nestled cozily in a giant feather bed together. The text is lovely and quick, and the illustrations can be poured over night after night.
And as if you don’t hear it all the time – LOVE your site! Thanks :)

CRIB ME! Surprise baby #2 on the way! My favorite bedtime story was actually made up by my dad. He would tell us a bedtime story every night after he tucked us in. He would pick a type of animal/creature, whether it be a pig, bird, worm, etc. and make up a fabulous story that taught a lesson in the end. That is one of the best memories from my childhood.
