Fab Freebie: Crib Your Enthusiasm

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

In honor of our new nephew’s arrival this week (he’s scheduled to come via C-section on Wednesday!) we’ve got the mother of all baby-themed giveaways courtesy of LaJobi Industries. They’re the makers of stylish baby and youth furniture and this week they’re giving away an eco-friendly crib and crib mattress to one lucky parent (or parent-to-be).

LaJobi Crib

The Dakota crib by Graco is their first environmentally friendly crib – it’s made from sustainable woods, the dark walnut finish is water based and all the packaging comes from recycled materials. Plus, it looks pretty darn good. You can read all the nitty-gritty details about it on Walmart.com, since they’re the exclusive retailer of the Dakota line (which also includes a changing table).

LaJobi Mattress

But an eco-friendly crib wouldn’t be complete without an eco-friendly mattress to pair it with. So LaJobi is throwing in a Serta Nightstar Eco Firm mattress, which is made from organic cotton layers. Together that’s a $330 package that should help both you and your baby sleep better!

  • PRIZE: LaJobi’s Eco-Friendly Dakota Classic Crib by Graco and Serta Nighstar Eco Firm Crib & Toddler Mattress
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CRIB ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what your favorite bedtime story is. Is it a classic like “Goodnight Moon”- or something more progressive like “Captain Underpants?”
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 21st at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: USA only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    CRIB ME!

We just found out that we are expecting last week so this would be a perfect win! We used the Mercer Mayer books “Grandpa and Me” and “Grandma and Me” to tell our parents that they were going to be first time Grandparents since these were mine and my husband’s favorite books growing up. So fun and they were very thrilled!

My new hubby and I are about to start a family and I can see us standing around a beautiful, eco-friendly crib watching our new baby catching z’s!(Im actually painting an animal mural on the wall!)
My favorite all time book was “Corduroy Bear”. When the elementary school I went to was having a book sale a few years back I went to browse and actually came home with the very same book, all though a bit worn now, that I was read in kindergarten! It remains in my keepsakes! Also, “Paddington Bear” was a favorite and it was read to us in 2nd grade by our fav. teacher!

CRIB ME…er…crib my 3 month old daughter, Gloria, that is. the crib she’s in is an old hand-me down that’s broken and the side won’t go up and down :-( we’d love a new one.

I’m also a fan Bedtime for Frances–esp. since there’s a little “Gloria” in the series, and the crib is for Gloria.

I would like to be CRIBBED! We have a little one on the way and are POOR, POOR, POOR!

Sob story aside, one of my all-time favorite bed time stories was The Secret Garden. My mom would read me a chapter a night. It was just her and I… a special time away from the rest of the family. Good times. Oh, I always secretly wanted to marry Dicken. :)
