Fab Freebie: Colorful Goods

Since we maxed out on entries less than 24 hours into the giveaway, we thought we’d go ahead and crown our winner. Random.org has selected… Jen W. (who’s long had a love affair with the color grey, but has lately been drawn to cheery yellows lately). Congrats!

It’s no secret that we loves us some HomeGoods. So how psyched are we to give one of you a $500 gift card this week? Answer: very psyched. And if you’re stumped on how to spend that money, HomeGoods has a new series of “Design Happy” videos to help inspire and guide you. Like the one below that offers up some simple tricks for adding color to a room through pillows & accessories (which just happen to be two of our favorite things to hunt for at HomeGoods):

    COLOR ME!!!

    I’m totally going overboard with color these days. I’ve been repainting my whole house, since it was in need of it, after five years of living here, things were starting to look a bit…wrecked. Let’s see, how do I love color, let me count the ways:

    First, I subscribe to the church of Benjamin Moore.

    Deep Ocean and Pear Green in my son’s room
    Easter Pink and Amethyst cream in my daughter’s room with sparkly glaze to boot)
    Livid violet and Trout Gray in my room
    Olive Branch in my family room
    Springfield Tan in my foyer
    and coming soon to a Master Bathroom near you: Buxton Blue.

    I’m totally digging the blues lately. They make me… not blue. I’m going for a pale aqua in my living room/dining room, I think, at some point. I also painted my closet hot pink. So yeah, I loves me some color.

    COLOR ME!! I usually can’t pass up anything green, but lately I have been loving all of the silver and gold arriving in stores for the holiday season :)

    My fiance and I are loving the combination of pink (totally her) and blacks and browns (me) to bring in some color and pop!

    COLOR ME!

    I like using a lot of grey around the house and accenting it with yellow. Red and white are great accents during the holiday season.

    Color me!!! Any color makes me happy these days! We still have the builder-painted-but-picked-out-by-myself tanish blah color on all our walls except the bottom half of the nursery:( needless to say I’m reallllly over it!

    color me (please!)….I am definitely drawn to the orange and turquoise combinations seen in good midcentury design….its funny, but my color pinboard on pinterest all reflects the same set of colors over and over….unconscious I suppose, but they make me so happy!
