Fab Freebie: City Love

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

This week’s TWO lucky winners are… Maria G (who loves Kansas City despite being under 12-15″ of snow at the moment) and Fiona (who loves her hometown of Washington DC so much she even loves the traffic). Congrats you two!

Today marks the seven year anniversary of our move to Richmond, VA. Woo hoo! It’s crazy to think that it has been that long, and to celebrate this week’s giveaway is from a city-minded artist: Kimberly of Albie Designs. We’ve had her charming illustration of New York City hanging in our hallway o’ frames for as long as there has been a frame collection there (my sister bought it for Sherry for her birthday a few years back). And now Kimberly has released a Richmond city print. So whether you want her new RVA work of art, or others from around the country (and even the globe) you’ll get your pick thanks to the $100 gift card that she’s offering up to two lucky winners.

Albie Designs Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card to Albie Designs on Etsy
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I LOVE [INSERT CITY NAME HERE]” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … why you love it so much. Is it a city you’re just thrilled to live in? Is a place that always makes you happy to visit? Or maybe it’s a city that you’ve never been to, but fantasize about visiting?
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Huzzah! This giveaway is available worldwide.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Albie Designs.

I LOVE BOSTON! I’ve grown up in Massachusetts and live about 45 minutes outside of Boston. I always love heading into Boston (especially to see the Sox!) because there’s so much beauty and history there. Its the only city I’ve ever been to that always feels more like a small town.

I love New York because of all the energy and character it has. Every day there is a new surprise. I’ve done quite a bit of traveling, but to me, there’s no city in the world like New York.

I LOOOOVE Pittsburgh! I grew up in the ‘burgh and love the print so much, it made me cry when I saw it! I live in Philly with my husband and 6 mo. old, Max, but just like all the other transplants all over the world, Pittsburgh is home no matter where you are. When I see someone in Pittsburgh gear, normally Steelers, my husband groans and knows that I’m seconds away from saying hello to them; but it always turns out that they either lived there, have family there, etc., etc., so… in short… I LOVE PITTSBURGH!!!! :) sorry for the long post.

I LOVE LONDON!I’ve only been there twice, but it’s by far my favorite city because of the history, buildings, accents, tea, and general fanciness :) Austin, TX and Florence, Italy would have to also be up there since I’ve loved most of my life in both!

I love Detroit! I’m originally from the outskirting area of it and joined the Air Force after school. This means that I’ll sadly never live back in Michigan while I’m in the military, but I take every opporunity to show my love for the city and state that grew me, no matter how downtrodden.

I love Rome! I’ve been lucky enough to travel there a few times and every time I feel like I’ve found my “people”. The energy of the city, accessibility of walking everywhere, neighborhood coffee shops and markets, gelato, FOOD, and of course the gorgeous architecture. One day I will bring my husband so he can finally understand what I drool about regularly. :)
