Fab Freebie: City Love

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

This week’s TWO lucky winners are… Maria G (who loves Kansas City despite being under 12-15″ of snow at the moment) and Fiona (who loves her hometown of Washington DC so much she even loves the traffic). Congrats you two!

Today marks the seven year anniversary of our move to Richmond, VA. Woo hoo! It’s crazy to think that it has been that long, and to celebrate this week’s giveaway is from a city-minded artist: Kimberly of Albie Designs. We’ve had her charming illustration of New York City hanging in our hallway o’ frames for as long as there has been a frame collection there (my sister bought it for Sherry for her birthday a few years back). And now Kimberly has released a Richmond city print. So whether you want her new RVA work of art, or others from around the country (and even the globe) you’ll get your pick thanks to the $100 gift card that she’s offering up to two lucky winners.

Albie Designs Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card to Albie Designs on Etsy
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I LOVE [INSERT CITY NAME HERE]” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … why you love it so much. Is it a city you’re just thrilled to live in? Is a place that always makes you happy to visit? Or maybe it’s a city that you’ve never been to, but fantasize about visiting?
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Huzzah! This giveaway is available worldwide.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Albie Designs.

I lived there for 4.5 years, met my husband and gave birth to our son there. It’s a little bit of Europe meets the Canadian West Coast, and it’s perfection!

    I LOVE MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA.
It’s a unique city, doesn’t have the glitz of Sydney, but so much to explore and discover; food, the arts, shops, sport, people… I have lived here my whole 33 years and still so much to discover and enjoy!

    I love NYC!
I dreamt about it since I was an itty bitty child, swore I would move there. And finally at 27, I got to visit. I’ve only been there once, but it was everything I thought it would be and more. It looked & smelled just like in my head. Sometimes I look at pictures just to remind myself it was real:) I can’t wait to go back someday.

    I LOVE LONDON… AND LA!

I’m from the uk and lived in london for 8 years before moving to LA 18 month’s ago. Both cities are awesome and both have a piece of my heart – so different and so cool in so many ways. London is really compact and buzzy and LA is really spread out and laid back. Yet I feel totally at home in both. Lucky me!

I love RVA {Richmond VA} because this is where I met my hubby and where we’ve built our life together. RVA is both a traditional and creative city, is a short distance from the ocean, the mountains, and big cities like DC (and IKEA, haha), and has some great bloggers representing our city (anyone ever here of Young House Love? haha again) What’s not to love?

Medical school brought me to Richmond for a few years, and my husband and I have definitely fallen in love with RVA. There are so many great places to go running/biking/kayaking, so many fantastic restaurants to eat at, so many fun locally owned businesses to support, and so many awesome people that I am proud to take care of at MCV hospital. Might end up in RVA for life… :)

    I love Baltimore!!!

THe first trip my fiance, Josiah, and I ever took together was to Baltimore (Fells Point). It was early in our relationship and it was a trip that could have been a bad situation for early love birds, but we had a great time. This past June, Josiah took me back there and recreated our first trip there. However, there was a major change as we walked out onto the pier. He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife!!!! It was the best proposal I could have asked for; both romantic and sentimental. As a big Steelers fan, he hates to admit that our special place is Baltimore haha!
