Fab Freebie: City Love

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

This week’s TWO lucky winners are… Maria G (who loves Kansas City despite being under 12-15″ of snow at the moment) and Fiona (who loves her hometown of Washington DC so much she even loves the traffic). Congrats you two!

Today marks the seven year anniversary of our move to Richmond, VA. Woo hoo! It’s crazy to think that it has been that long, and to celebrate this week’s giveaway is from a city-minded artist: Kimberly of Albie Designs. We’ve had her charming illustration of New York City hanging in our hallway o’ frames for as long as there has been a frame collection there (my sister bought it for Sherry for her birthday a few years back). And now Kimberly has released a Richmond city print. So whether you want her new RVA work of art, or others from around the country (and even the globe) you’ll get your pick thanks to the $100 gift card that she’s offering up to two lucky winners.

Albie Designs Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card to Albie Designs on Etsy
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I LOVE [INSERT CITY NAME HERE]” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … why you love it so much. Is it a city you’re just thrilled to live in? Is a place that always makes you happy to visit? Or maybe it’s a city that you’ve never been to, but fantasize about visiting?
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Huzzah! This giveaway is available worldwide.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Albie Designs.

I love Winnipeg (Canada)! My boyfriend and I have both grown up here, both of our families are here and now we have a home of our own to grow into here and raise a family in our lovely city! I love how we have a full 4 seasons here and there is so much pride in the people who are full time Winnipeggers. We are very blessed to have a such a lovely community here in our small city.
Also, because we are new homeowners we’re also in the market for some new art for our bare walls, and this would be a perfect (and unique!) way to show off our love for our city and our home!

My husband and I asked ourselves where in the world would be fun to live and raise our family and we both enthusiastically agreed on London! We put ourselves on a five year plan to get here and then we actually did it! (Though having met and married in Seattle, that city also has my heart. <3)

I have never lived there but every time we’ve visited I had a great time. I like that the city is very cultural. A lot of good schools and universities around.
I live in San Diego now and I love the weather but maybe I need time to get to know the city a little more.

I love Los Angeles. It’s my hometown and the city where I live in now. It’s covered with trees and flowers and fantastic architecture and undiscovered nooks. It’s surrounded by the beach and the mountains and the desert and there are days in the winter where you can be wearing a sundress and driving through avenues lined with palm trees and see snow on the mountains.

Walking past the White House or across the national mall never gets old. One minute, you’re slogging to work, but then the next, you’re looking up at one of our national treasures! Whenever the tourists or the bureaucracy gets me down, the sights remind me why I call this place home.
