Fab Freebie: City Love

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

This week’s TWO lucky winners are… Maria G (who loves Kansas City despite being under 12-15″ of snow at the moment) and Fiona (who loves her hometown of Washington DC so much she even loves the traffic). Congrats you two!

Today marks the seven year anniversary of our move to Richmond, VA. Woo hoo! It’s crazy to think that it has been that long, and to celebrate this week’s giveaway is from a city-minded artist: Kimberly of Albie Designs. We’ve had her charming illustration of New York City hanging in our hallway o’ frames for as long as there has been a frame collection there (my sister bought it for Sherry for her birthday a few years back). And now Kimberly has released a Richmond city print. So whether you want her new RVA work of art, or others from around the country (and even the globe) you’ll get your pick thanks to the $100 gift card that she’s offering up to two lucky winners.

Albie Designs Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card to Albie Designs on Etsy
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I LOVE [INSERT CITY NAME HERE]” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … why you love it so much. Is it a city you’re just thrilled to live in? Is a place that always makes you happy to visit? Or maybe it’s a city that you’ve never been to, but fantasize about visiting?
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Huzzah! This giveaway is available worldwide.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Albie Designs.

I love Philadelphia! I got my undergrad degree there, and I can’t put my finger on just why I love that crazy place, but I long to go back. Perhaps it’s the Amish pretzels at Reading Terminal Market.

    I LOVE PORTLAND!

I didn’t grow up here, but from the first time I visited (at age 12) I knew it was MY city. Came here for college at 17 and stayed for good. I’ve followed my husband to a couple of temporary places in the US and overseas, but we always come back to the Rose City.

    I LOVE ANN ARBOR!

It’s filled with smart, friendly people who are working hard to do what they love. The cost of living is (relatively) cheap, the community is great, and the summers aren’t too hot. What could be better?

I LOVE SEATTLE! It’s where my husband and I lived after we were first married, where we bought our first home, and where our first child was born. We moved away two years ago for a new job (and to be closer to family), but Seattle will always have a place in my heart :)

My husband and I have now lived in 3 different cities/states together. I’d love to get prints of all three! (Seattle, Madison (WI), and now Cincinnati).

    I LOVE MADISON!

My husband and I needed a change from St. Louis and decided to pick a place in the US that we thought we would actually love to live in. We fell in love with Madison and six months later we were here! We just hit our one year mark at the end of January and we could not have made a better choice.

    I LOVE ST. LOUIS!

My beloved hometown, and despite an UNDESERVED crummy reputation nationwide, it is a fan-freaking-tastic place to live and raise a family. Don’t even get me started on all the advantages to living here. About the only thing I would change is the weather sometimes…and wouldn’t mind some mountain views… ;)

Not a huge city, but it’s been my home for around 20 years. I love the diverse food, the marina and proximity to everything around the greater San Francisco Bay Area and Northern California.

I’d love those gorgeous Florence, Bruges and Cinque Terre prints. I’ve been to one of them and the other two are on my list!
