Fab Freebie: City Love

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

This week’s TWO lucky winners are… Maria G (who loves Kansas City despite being under 12-15″ of snow at the moment) and Fiona (who loves her hometown of Washington DC so much she even loves the traffic). Congrats you two!

Today marks the seven year anniversary of our move to Richmond, VA. Woo hoo! It’s crazy to think that it has been that long, and to celebrate this week’s giveaway is from a city-minded artist: Kimberly of Albie Designs. We’ve had her charming illustration of New York City hanging in our hallway o’ frames for as long as there has been a frame collection there (my sister bought it for Sherry for her birthday a few years back). And now Kimberly has released a Richmond city print. So whether you want her new RVA work of art, or others from around the country (and even the globe) you’ll get your pick thanks to the $100 gift card that she’s offering up to two lucky winners.

Albie Designs Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card to Albie Designs on Etsy
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I LOVE [INSERT CITY NAME HERE]” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … why you love it so much. Is it a city you’re just thrilled to live in? Is a place that always makes you happy to visit? Or maybe it’s a city that you’ve never been to, but fantasize about visiting?
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Huzzah! This giveaway is available worldwide.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winners. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Albie Designs.

    I LOVE LONDON!

We honeymooned in Europe a few years ago. I dreamed of visiting Paris since I was 14, but I found that I fell in love with London when I actually visited these cities. I’m an anglophile at heart and believe I should’ve been born English. ;)

I even decorated my son’s nursery with a semi-London theme.

August 2013 will mark 10 years since my husband and I moved here. We’ve welcomed two children here, established careers here, and made it our home. We’d love art to add to our gallery walls with other items from our previous homes across the Deep South.

My hubby and I are theater folks, so we’ve traveled to NYC to take in some productions — we also got engaged there. :-) I’ve also had a growing love of Boston over the years thanks to its history and charm, and I can’t wait to get my family to London for a trip (I went in high school and didn’t want to come back, LOL).

    I LOVE WASHINGTON DC!

I moved here from Grand Rapids, Michigan 4 years ago because I love the city so much.

Now, Richmond is also great, and close enough for me to visit now. But cue the sad trombones – the last time I was in your neck of the woods, I reserved the Monday I was there just to do some thrifting at some of the places you guys recommend. Imagine my sad face sitting in the parking lot of Diversity Thrift when I found out that they, and most other Richmond thrift stores, are CLOSED on Mondays!

Chicago holds a special place in my heart as the first place my now-husband and I traveled to, where we we moved after college, spent 3 fun years living and were engaged and married in. We now live outside the city in the ‘burbs but often venture in for dinners out with friends.
