As much as we love holiday lights, indoor lighting is something that you stare at every day of the year. So if you don’t love your lighting situation, this is one way to “dude, get on that” without spending any cash. See, recently we were voted one of Lamps Plus’ top home blogs of 2012 (how flattering!) and it came with a $500 shopping spree prize… but you know we don’t take freebies or swag, so the folks at Lamps Plus kindly agreed that we could pass that $500 credit to one of you! We’ve been fans of theirs for a while now since they seem to have about a million options (their chandeliers even popped up in our book a few times) so this week’s winner should have no trouble finding something to spend their light-loot on if they win.

LAMP ME! I love all of the lights! I’m greedy when it comes to Christmas lights because they are just so pretty. I curled up last night under my favorite throw and light the fire place and just gazed at my tree. Yay for Christmas!

LAMP ME! I love the glow of a Christmas tree sparkling with twinkle lights, but this year my favorite lights are on the homemade “trees” we crafted out of tomato cages and white lights. The kids and I worked on it together and it has been our favorite decoration so far.

I’m a big fan of soft lights; I don’t use overhead lighting if I can help it, and that sometimes annoys my boyfriend!
Every Christmas for the past four years I’ve gotten a small, real tree and lit it with just one strand of colorful lights. This year my tree sits in the window, for neighbors across the alleyway to also enjoy. I also decked out my tree with cute gold tinsel, making my tree sparkle!
I love the simplicity of a few, small lights making things enormously merry & bright!

for me it’s a tie. I love the warm white lights on a tree. Not those led things but the old fashioned white lights becasue they have such a warm glow. And I love a good fire. We don’t have a fireplace but at times I wish we did. The look, warmth, and coziness it gives is so great.

“LAMP ME!” My favorite holiday light is the glow of the Chanukah candles on the last night of the holiday. The candles give off this beautiful, calming, dancing light especially at my parents house when there are 5 menorah’s all lit. It’s my favorite time of the year!
