Fab Freebie: Christmas Lights

This week’s early Christmas present is going to… Nancy (who says she “could certainly use some new lighting” and her favorite holiday glow “has to be my fireplace.”) Congrats Nancy!

As much as we love holiday lights, indoor lighting is something that you stare at every day of the year. So if you don’t love your lighting situation, this is one way to “dude, get on that” without spending any cash. See, recently we were voted one of Lamps Plus’ top home blogs of 2012 (how flattering!) and it came with a $500 shopping spree prize… but you know we don’t take freebies or swag, so the folks at Lamps Plus kindly agreed that we could pass that $500 credit to one of you! We’ve been fans of theirs for a while now since they seem to have about a million options (their chandeliers even popped up in our book a few times) so this week’s winner should have no trouble finding something to spend their light-loot on if they win.

    “LAMP ME!” I love every type of holiday light! Though we tend to stay with white lights on our Christmas tree, I grew up with colored tree and house lights and I love it all!

    LAMP ME! I love how the lights twinkle on our tree, right next to a cozy fire in the fireplace. Add some snow falling and it’s perfect!

    Lamp me! I love the older, large, colorful strings of Christmas lights. They remind me of my house growing up.

    LAMP ME!

    I love the holiday lights that hang from the trees and are animated to look like snow falling. So pretty when you get a line of trees filled with them!

    LAMP ME Baby!! I love the candle lit nights by the crackling fireplace….with a soft warm glow from our edison bulbs.
    Gotta have light so I can find my way back into the kitchen to refill my cup ;)

    Lamp Me!
    I love the combination of fire light, candles and the gentle glow of white tree lights with christmas music playing, a nice glass of wine, and family. TV off! Bliss.

    I love the small white lights on our christmas tree! Next year we hope to buy outdoor lights hopefully those hanging lights.
