We don’t have anything planned for the spouses this year, but we always give our kids a teeny tiny love gift – a toy car for the boy, some Legos for the girl. We usually avoid the typical flowers and chocolate – it’s just not us.
My mother-in-law has volunteered to babysit for an evening this weekend, though . . .

My husband and I are photographers… we got asked to do a Photo booth at a special event, so we’ll be doing that for a few hours in the evening. Otherwise, dinner with our 2 and a 1/2 year old.

We dont’ usually do anything special for Valentine’s day, but this year im going to get the kids (3.5 and 1.5 years) to make something crafty for Daddy. Also going to give the kids little valentine’s day treats on the day….i think it’s the first year the kids (well, the eldest at least) is old enough to understand what it’s all about, so im excited to use the day as an opportunity to smother them with love!!

My oldest daughter is making her classmates’ cards on the computer – making each unique :) I will have little surprises for the hubby and my 2 girls that day too. And the hubby and I are going away overnight that weekend for a charity event that someone else is paying for – WOOHOO!!!

My husbands birthday is ON Valentines Day, so we switch off every year which one we celebrate on the actual holiday. This year its his birthday and I’m totally okay with that. I love him, so I guess its worth it ;)
But also, we have a son in Kindergarten and another in Preschool (and another baby… all boys). They both had a ton of fun filling out their Valentines for their friends this year and are so excited to hand them all out.
