I will miss celebrating Thursday but hope to have a “make up” V-Day on the weekend.

Got my boys valentines all off to school early. Just finished teachers chalkboard gift. Valentines day will have my hubbie and I helping a classroom full of kindergartens celebrate. Kendra Scott would be a the cherry on top of a fun day.

We’ll probably be spending actual V-Day at home with the kiddos since we leave the next day to go to my mom’s wedding! But we celebrated last weekend by going to a fabulous rooftop restaurant/bar with friends. This was the 9th annual Valentines celebration with our 4 besties. Love this tradition!

Just like every year, I’m just treating it like any other day! That’s fine and dandy for those who celebrate it, but I think it’s silly. I can say this confidently because I’ve been with the same man for over 7 years, married almost 1 so it has nothing to do with being bitter and lonely! Haha.

My birthday is February 6, and our daughter’s is February 3, so Valentine’s Day typically gets lost in the shuffle. But hubby usually comes through with flowers, and I typically buys some fancy chocolates – both of which are just enough. ;)

I was diagnosed with a lymphoma in November. This winter has been extremely difficult, but a final surgery is scheduled for February 19.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day, I’ll make a nice dinner, my husband’s favorite pie, and we’ll stay in away from possible germs.
