Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Jewel Me! We’re usually very low key on Valentine’s day although there is a Mariachi band at our favorite Mexican restaurant & I did think that might be fun w/a strawberry margarita. ;)

We will be at home with the kiddos. Before kids we used to buy a couple of lobsters and enjoy a nice dinner at home, but now we’ll fancy up dinner with some candles and a nice but kid friendly dinner. I was thinking of surprising the hub with breakfast (he usually makes breakfast during the week).

    Wow, what a fantastic freebie!

I absolutely loathe the commercialism of this “holiday” — we won’t be celebrating. But we do say “I love you” many times every day and are very thankful for our love! I also hate how Feb. 14 makes single people feel awful.

Hubby accidentally scheduled a visiting speaker for this V-day so he’ll be busy that night- but weeknights are crummy anyways for date nights. Instead, I’ll send our girls to school with bags of Valentines for the classmates, create a Valentines themed dinner for them, and then all of us will attend a local winery this weekend for a wine and chocolate pairing- YUM!

Jewel Me – Most likely I will just give my husband a smooch and say “Happy Valentines Day!” We are very, very low key about the non-holiday. Though when I was a kid I really enjoyed making paper valentines for all the girls in my class.

Jewel me! We have family a family Valentine’s with the kids where we usually order heart-shaped pizza from Papa Murphy’s and do our own chocolate-dipped fruit. I do love a romantic date night, but we usually save those for anniversary’s.

JEWEL ME!! When my husband and I first started dating we went to In-N-Out for our first Valentine’s (not sure why, but I’m guessing it was because we were poor and this girl cannot turn down a Double Double!). It’s a silly tradition, but every year since we’ve gone back to In-N-Out. No reservations needed! :)
