Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Jewel me! It’s my daughters first valentines day and I’m spent the weekend making homemade cards that I’m attaching to baby yogurt squeeze pouches for all of her daycare classmates. My husband has night class that night, so I guess my vday will consist of working (boo) and then spending the night lovin on my little girl!

I don’t usually do Valentine’s Day (it’s kind of a weird holiday and I’m single), so I’m doing nothing out of the ordinary, but I’m working hard to get some projects done so I won’t say I’ll be “doing nothing”!

Maybe I should put together a Galentine’s celebration for all the women in my life? (Love you Leslie!!)

We have been married for 15 years so our Valentine’s Days are low key these days. We don’t need a holiday to remind each other how much they are loved! <3

    JEWEL ME!!

This Valentine’s day will mark my fourth anniversary and I will be spending it first with my kindergarteners and then going out to dinner with my man if I can manage to wipe the glitter and glue from Valentine’s day crafts off myself.

Yes the hubby and I actually went on our first date on Valentine’s day (we count our anniversary from then, not the day we got married) because we were both working at a store on Valentine’s Day and neither of us had plans, so to avoid being alone we went to a movie together.

Or so he led me to believe. I wore my uniform and as I’m sure you can imagine, retail uniforms are so not cute. Not the most romantic first date story but I always tell my single friends that you never know who could end up being the perfect person for you. Maybe it’s that guy in the other department who’s too shy to ask you out until he knows for sure you have no other plans and you’re unlikely to say no. Maybe he’s had a crush on you since the first day you started working there and he’s just too shy to ask you out. Take a chance and go out with him, even if you’re in your uniform and you’re gross and sweaty. You never know, it could be the story you tell your kids someday.
