Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

My fiance is on travel that week, and then I leave for my bridal shower in Michigan on the 15th. So a quiet night at home the one night we’ll overlap is in order!

My boyfriend and I have been doing long distance for a while now so I’ll be going up to Boston to see him. I have some fun DIY tricks up my sleeve for him, but we’ll most likely spend the night on the couch watching TV and drinking wine.

Hope all three of you have a great Valentine’s Day!

I’ve already celebrated Valentine’s Day this year! I’d rather do it on the weekend, before every restaurant in town is at max capacity! So this Saturday the boyfriend and I went to have a nice dinner and watch a movie. I did sew my own dress for the occasion though!

JEWEL ME! No big plans other than boot camp with the girls after work and making dinner for my boyfriend (NBA All Star week in Houston…so dinner reservations to a nice place are out of the question). Would love to add shopping spree to Kendra Scott to the list of V-day plans! :)

Hubby and I don’t put too much emphasis on Valentine’s Day because we make a point to show our love and appreciation for each other as often as possible. But, Hubby does love him some chocolate, so I’ll at least be giving him a cutesy heart-shaped box filled with chocolates.

My husband and I are attempting making sushi this Valentines Day. It’s something we’ve always wanted to do, and I figure that a bottle of wine and a fun time in the kitchen sound much better than the typical flowers and candy (or dealing with the tons of people eating out). This year is also our first V-Day as a married couple!

    JEWEL ME! (pretty please?)

We had plans to have a quiet romantic evening with some home cooked chinese food and some seriously home-made gifts, but then one of our best friends went and a had a little baby boy this week! So instead we’ll be driving from Connecticut to Atlanta for weekend celebrations with their adorable new addition! I’d say it’s a pretty good alternative way to celebrate this day of love :)

This is my husband and mine’s first Valentine’s Day as a married couple and we will be celebrating by painting a few accent walls in our new house and if we get daring, maybe trying a stencil! We really aren’t into flowers and fancy dinners out but some gummy worms and DIY and we are swooning!

My fiance and I will be spending it just like we spend every Valentine’s Day: I’ll pretend to be surprised he bought me chocolate covered strawberries when we both know he’ll eat all but one, and I’ll make us a fancy dinner under the guise of it being a gift, but in reality I’m just making whatever expensive thing sounds good but I normally don’t buy (this year it’s crab legs!).
