Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

    JEWEL ME!!!
February 12, 2011 my (now) husband asked me to spend the rest of my life with him, so for the last 2 years we celebrated our engagement anniversary and Valentine’s Day at the same time. This Valentine’s Day is our first as a married couple! We don’t make big to-dos about holidays usually. As long as we are with each other, we’re happy with just sitting at home watching a movie. We collect coffee mugs, so I bought him a mug that can be personalized by me. I always give him a cute card, as well. :)

    JEWEL ME!

Snazzy giveaway guys, I’ve been coveting Sherry’s sweet earrings since Xmas.

I was asking the manfriend what he’d like to eat for dessert after our traditional home-cooked meal; some years I surprise him, this year I thought I’d ask. Caramel is his favorite so I suggested caramel brownies off Smitten Kitchen and he was a little quiet. I realized- “You’d rather just have a big bowl of caramel with some apples or something to dip in it, wouldn’t you?” “Well… wouldn’t you??”

We celebrated Valentines Day today, actually. Without being too fancy, we went to a new restaurant we’ve never been to that served comfort food and ate lunch. It was nice, not crowded, and we enjoyed the food! It was called Lot No. 3 in Bellevue, WA (if anyone from Washington reads the comments). I had the best cinnamon-blueberry lemonade. Totally unexpected, but very good.

JEWEL ME! This is my first year a real valentine! My new boyfriend and I started dating in September and I am thrilled we get to spend the day together. My mom always loved celebrating Valentine’s Day and even though I never had one, I enjoyed celebrating with her. I’m excited to see if I will love the day even more with a special Valentine by my side! I will also be bringing One Direction Valentine’s to my office, because, I mean – duh! Happy Valentine’s Day!

This will be my partner and I’s first Valentine’s Day as a married couple, but we’re also broke post-grad students! After class on Thursday we plan to get dressed up, I’ll make some brownies, he’ll cook a nice meal, and we’ll relax together at home. We’re working extra hard on school work this week so we won’t have to do any homework on Thursday!
