Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

JEWEL ME! Even though I am a romantic at heart I hate waiting for a table so on Valentines Day night. I host a “We Don’t Need Valentines Day” party. My friends who have just gone through a divorce or hubbies are off serving our country come over for dinner and good talk. It helps take their minds off the day. Meanwhile, earlier in the day my husband and I leave gifts for the kids and sneak off to have lunch together.
