Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

My husband loves authentic Mexican food so we’re going to a cheap joint 20 minutes away to celebrate with 10 tacos for $10. He’s thrilled for the good food but even more so for the low price.

I’ve never been a big celebrated of Valentine’s Day. It’s always such a let down. Either you’re made to feel bad because you’re not with someone, or you’re expected to do something “special” because you are. I prefer telling my man how I feel about him all the time. And since he’ll be out of town this year for work, I’ll send him lots of little notes letting him know I can’t wait for him to come home.

We are in a small ski resort for the week, and my husband asked me 2 months ago which restaurant I’d like to go to for V-day so he could make a reservation! It is our first Valentine’s together as a married couple, so I think I was a little spoiled this year :)

Since I am VERY pregnant and our anniversaries (yes plural lol) follow in March we plan to stay home while my husband cooks. He’s an amazing cook but he works most nights so when he is home and cooking it always feels like a special occasion. Our 8 year anniversary and 2 year wedding anniversary will be celebrated (hopefully) with the arrival of our first baby!
