Fab Freebie: Be Jeweled

***This giveaway has reached is now closed – see who won below!***

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! And an especially happy one to our randomly selected, lucky winner who goes by the name of… Oona (who will likely celebrate tonight with dinner at “a lovely vegan restaurant”). Congrats Oona!

We love celebrating Valentine’s Day with you guys by giving away some free jewelry, and this year Sherry’s especially stoked because the prize is coming from none other than Kendra Scott – one of her favorite places to request that I buy her earrings for various occasions (like the past two Christmases). Kendra Scott has definitely earned me a few husband points, so this (are you ready for it?) $500 gift card means that someone else out there can score major points from the one they love – or one lucky winner can grab her own jewels for herself. And probably have money leftover to share the wealth with a few friends or relatives. Oh and if you fancy yourself a Kendra Scott in the making, you can even use their Color Bar to customize several of their pieces. So yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

Kendra Scott Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Kendra Scott
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “JEWEL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …how you plan to celebrate (or not celebrate) Valentine’s Day this year. Is there a special date night in your future? Are you sending your kids off with backpacks filled with cards for classmates? Or are you just gonna treat it like any other Thursday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 13th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: This giveaway ships worldwide. Woot!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kendra Scott.

JEWEL ME! We always celebrate a week early (to avoid the crazy crush of people out in DC)… so we already went out for a fancy adult date night. Dinner and fancy cocktails were nice. However, I’ve got to admit, my favorite part was when my partner had the cab driver stop on the way home so that we could pick up empanadas (my favorite breakfast in bed food). He always remembers to include the little things. :)

My husband and I met 1 week after Valentine’s Day. February 21 of course. So this year will be our 9th anniversary of meeting (5 of married). I actually bought stuff from the $1 section at Target to make cupcakes. I bought fun toppers and sprinkles. And this is all big for me because I don’t bake much. I hope they turn out! Then we’ll probably do a movie and dinner as that is what we both enjoy doing.

We are going out to dinner this year – which is pretty rare for us on V-day. We usually have a quite dinner home, but we found a restaurant we loved on New Years Eve and have been itching for a special occasion to go there again.

JEWEL ME! This valentines will be the first valentines day in the four years of dating my boyfriend that we will be in the same state. We both went to different universities in different states I go to texas tech and he went to the university of Florida. It was hard but we made it through the many years apart. He recently moved back to our hometown Dallas to attend law school at SMU and I’m
Graduating this semester from Texas tech. Even though we still don’t live in the same city.. It is refreshing to live in the same state. Since I have class on valentines day and won’t be in Dallas, I am going home Friday after my class to surprise him and spend our first valentines day together. I want to take him to his favorite brewery in Dallas and then get dressed up and go on a dinner date. I hope to make our first valentines the best ever and make up for all the other years.

We don’t usually do much for Valentine’s (or our anniversary!), but we’re going to the opera on the weekend, for a much needed date – plans for our imminent wedding and my work leave very little time for dates to normally be scheduled in!
