Fab Freebie: (Anything But) A White Christmas

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

We often daydream about having the iconic white Christmas here in Virginia (which is extremely rare in these parts) but after this weekend’s crazy snowstorm it looks like we might actually have one. Or at least a whatever-color-you-call-half-melted-dirty-snow-that-hangs-around-for-a-week Christmas.

Glidden Snowy House

But as of today we think you’ll be dreaming of a holiday with a bit more color thanks to Glidden. So yes, as Sunny, Lacey, Travis and Nicole guessed at the end of last week’s giveaway, this week’s prize of “one of our all time favorite items” is indeed paint. In fact, Glidden’s got a gallon for a handful of you in your choice of color and finish so there’s plenty to go around.

Glidden Display

And if we haven’t already made it abundantly clear in over two years of blogging: we love Glidden’s colors. From Gentle Tide in our bedroom and kitchen to Sand White in our living room and guest bedroom, we’ve got Glidden’s fantastic hues on almost every wall of our house. And even though we’re sad that some of those colors didn’t make the cut when Glidden revamped their line earlier this year, we totally dig how user-friendly the new lineup of colors are (they even suggest complementary accent hues on the back of each paint swatch). Plus you can easily browse inspiration rooms and coordinating color schemes both in-store and on their web site and they offer tester bottles with built-in brushes for every color. It doesn’t get much more convenient that that.

Glidden Back Of Swatch

But enough jabbering. It’s time for the entry details:

  • PRIZE: Each winner will receive a voucher to be redeemed at their neighborhood Home Depot for one gallon of Glidden paint in any color and finish of their choice.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “CAN ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us what colors are getting you into the holiday spirit this season. Is it the traditional red and green pairing? Unconventional schemes like lavender and silver? Or do you really just have your heart set on that white Christmas concept?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 23rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: FIVE!
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    CAN ME

I’d really love to decorate with silver and gold and lots of pearls and jewels (ie: Anthropologie’s Mythic Nest Tree Topper). I love really whimsical, pretty trees and decorations. But, alas, I have a two year old and a 10 month old. We do have a tree up with lights. The decorations on the tree only reach half way. Someday I’ll have my dream tree.

CAN ME!! I’m pretty traditional when it come to Christmas colors…red and green are my colors of choice. But I am loving what my mom did this year with really deep red pieces, like this amazing faux garland from Target (of course!) in deep red. She has it on her mantle which is a crisp white…so pretty! Maybe I’ll be able to do something like that in my first home (which we’re hoping to close on by the end of the year, so this paint would come in REALLY handy!!…hint, hint). Merry Christmas!

I am really loving the simplicty of white, silver, and gold this year. I still love hints of traditional colors, but in unexpected ways. No decorations this year though since we are in the process of moving into our first house…so yes I do hope to win some paint! Thanks for all the great giveaways, you guys are the best!

CAN ME! I’m hooked on Glidden colors also after many, many hours of trying to find the perfect off-white. But as for Christmas, I’m usually into silvers and whites. This year in the traditional red and green mood plus LOTS of pinecones!

I am all about the non-traditional colors for Christmas. Purple, turquoise, lime green, fuschia, and dash of red get me in the holiday spirit! Needless to say, I’m loving your cirtus tones this year.

    CAN ME!

This year, I am totally digging the vintage Christmas look. For gift wrap, I am reusing brown paper grocery bags and tying them with wire craft ribbon in pink, green and white plaid. I am also going to accent each gift with a fancy clear bag of old fashioned ribbon candy and gum drops, and maybe a big swirly lollipop or two! <3

    CAN ME!!!

I went with light green and red. With this being my first Christmas out of my parents’ home, I had to start from scratch with my holiday decorating. I gave myself a $200 budget and bought a tree (fake), fun decorations from Target, and one splurge from Crate and Barrel.

I would love some paint to fix up a desk my mom just gave to me!!
