Fab Freebie: All Time Lowe’s

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

For our big two year blogiversary and we’re celebrating with one of the biggest freebies we’ve ever freebied: a $500 Lowe’s gift card.

Lowes 500 Gift Card

Did that sink in yet? It still hasn’t for us. When we started hunting for the perfect blogiversary prize a few weeks ago we never thought we’d land something so exciting. It’s like Lowe’s is giving one of you the chance to take on a big project and they’re footing the bill. And we couldn’t be more thrilled to be giving it away.

We probably don’t need to remind you of all the items you could snag during a $500 shopping blitz at Lowe’s – paint, lighting, power tools, holiday decor, flooring. Heck, you could even get a new dishwasher or something. So in case you’re having any trouble picturing where you’d put five hundred Lowe’s dollars, allow us to lend our expertise (that is, our money-spending assistance). Here are a few items that we’ve got our eyes on:

This Idylis air purifier: Since the cold weather will have us closing up our windows and doors soon, the HEPA filter on this baby keeps indoor air from getting stale and could really help Sherry as we get into allergy season.

Lowes Idylis Air Pure

A new lawn mower: I know the season’s ending, but I’ve had it up to here (picture my hand above my head) with the used mower we bought when we moved back in 2006 (let’s just say it’s no longer self-propelling). Lowe’s online Mower Selector tool helped turn up a bunch of options that we could snag for well under 500 beans.

Lowes Mower Guide

A cool bathroom sink: With a full bathroom redo moving closer to the top of our to-do list we’re already starting to fantasize about where we can add some special touches, like plopping a vessel sink on top of a thrifted piece of furniture-turned-vanity. And Lowe’s has a bunch of awesome vessel sink options.

Lowes Prize Sinks

I’ve also been contemplating adding some outdoor path lighting or taking our garage organization a step further with some more sophisticated shelving. But we’d better quit letting our minds wander because we’re not the ones who get the $500 gift card… one of you does! Here’s how:

  • PRIZE: A $500 Lowe’s gift card (in case you forgot)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIMME THAT $500” (why dance around it, right?) and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: Tell us what project you might spend the prize on. Surely we’re not the only ones daydreaming about where $500 could go (and no, we won’t be picking a winner based on this answer – it’ll still be random)
  • CONTEST CLOSES: Thursday, September 24th at 8pm EST (that’s an extra day!)
  • WINNER: One lucky lady or gent
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the USA (but Lowe’s loving Canadians with friends or family in the states can enter and we’ll send it to your US relative/friend who can forward it on to you).
  • THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    GIMME THAT $500!

That would definitely go toward finishing my fence to wrangle my new puppy. I never realized how high that should have been on my home improvement priority list until I got a beagle pup! It just jumped above tiling my bathroom.

    GIMME THAT $500

This Friday will be the 1 year anniversary of the purchase of my first home and I would love to commence that with some painting, shelving, and replacing stock mirrors with framed oval mirrors in all bathrooms, window coverings, closet doors to replace the stock mirror doors… the list goes on! As an architect and interior designer I have a never ending/always growing list of items to update but rarely have the means. What a great giveaway idea!

    GIMME THAT $500 (Please!)
we are in a whole house remodel after adding a new second floor so the 500.00 would come in handy for a myriad of projects. Right now I’d love to buy screens for our new construction Anderson windows–it’s crazy but the windows do not come with screens!

love your blog! Thanks for all the good ideas-each and every day!
    Peace,
    Clare

Gimme that $500 please! OMG it’s too hard to decide. Definitely either a new dishwasher that’s kinder to the planet or updating the bathroom. Our house was built in 1953, and I think the last updates were in the 80’s…SO much to do!

    GIMME THAT $500

We have a whole list of outdoor projects to do – paint our wood siding and deck, new patio stones for the backyard, pave the driveway.

Or how about finally ripping out the yucky carpet on the main floor and putting in some hardwood like our kitchen/dining room has? That would be awesome!

Holy cow you guys, what an awesome giveaway!! We’re right smack in the middle of building a garage from the ground up, and while I can think of about 5,000 things on the “to buy” list, highlights would include: motion sensor outdoor lights, extra tall garage door, people door and some shelving to store all our stuff in the garage.

Wow, what an awesome prize! There are so many things we could do at Lowes with $500. We could put it towards some of our dream products like hardwood floors, new appliances, or even a seamless shower. But I think we’d use it for a kitchen remodel and put it towards the back splash and a new sink and faucet.

We would use the money on new light fixtures for our new home. My husband and I just purchased our first home in July. The house was built in 1992 and has never had a remodel, so it’s filled with some “awesome” gold light fixtures. If there was any money left we’d buy some beadboard. Our kitchen needs some help so we’re painting it black and adding beadboard to the island this winter. Wish us luck!
