Fab Freebie: All Time Lowe’s

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

For our big two year blogiversary and we’re celebrating with one of the biggest freebies we’ve ever freebied: a $500 Lowe’s gift card.

Lowes 500 Gift Card

Did that sink in yet? It still hasn’t for us. When we started hunting for the perfect blogiversary prize a few weeks ago we never thought we’d land something so exciting. It’s like Lowe’s is giving one of you the chance to take on a big project and they’re footing the bill. And we couldn’t be more thrilled to be giving it away.

We probably don’t need to remind you of all the items you could snag during a $500 shopping blitz at Lowe’s – paint, lighting, power tools, holiday decor, flooring. Heck, you could even get a new dishwasher or something. So in case you’re having any trouble picturing where you’d put five hundred Lowe’s dollars, allow us to lend our expertise (that is, our money-spending assistance). Here are a few items that we’ve got our eyes on:

This Idylis air purifier: Since the cold weather will have us closing up our windows and doors soon, the HEPA filter on this baby keeps indoor air from getting stale and could really help Sherry as we get into allergy season.

Lowes Idylis Air Pure

A new lawn mower: I know the season’s ending, but I’ve had it up to here (picture my hand above my head) with the used mower we bought when we moved back in 2006 (let’s just say it’s no longer self-propelling). Lowe’s online Mower Selector tool helped turn up a bunch of options that we could snag for well under 500 beans.

Lowes Mower Guide

A cool bathroom sink: With a full bathroom redo moving closer to the top of our to-do list we’re already starting to fantasize about where we can add some special touches, like plopping a vessel sink on top of a thrifted piece of furniture-turned-vanity. And Lowe’s has a bunch of awesome vessel sink options.

Lowes Prize Sinks

I’ve also been contemplating adding some outdoor path lighting or taking our garage organization a step further with some more sophisticated shelving. But we’d better quit letting our minds wander because we’re not the ones who get the $500 gift card… one of you does! Here’s how:

  • PRIZE: A $500 Lowe’s gift card (in case you forgot)
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIMME THAT $500” (why dance around it, right?) and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: Tell us what project you might spend the prize on. Surely we’re not the only ones daydreaming about where $500 could go (and no, we won’t be picking a winner based on this answer – it’ll still be random)
  • CONTEST CLOSES: Thursday, September 24th at 8pm EST (that’s an extra day!)
  • WINNER: One lucky lady or gent
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the USA (but Lowe’s loving Canadians with friends or family in the states can enter and we’ll send it to your US relative/friend who can forward it on to you).
  • THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    GIMME THAT $500!

WOW! I’m in the middle of renovating an entire house from top to bottom (and documenting it all on my blog – inspired by you guys!) so $500 would be MUCH appreciated, and quickly used up I’m sure. The next room I’m going to tackle is the kitchen, so I’d probably start there with paint and new hardware :)

Congrats on two years guys! I can’t tell you how much I love your blog and how helpful it has been to me during this huge project!

wow…i can think of so many things to do with $500! Like updating our master bedroom with some paint, window treatments, and accessories. But i have to say that the $500 would actually go towards a riding lawnmower that my husband has been paintienly waiting for while we save up for it!

so funny to see your air purifier because that is EXACTLY what i would spend it on! i have been looking for a good one for my 6 month old baby boy’s room because, you know, as a first time mom i obsess about things like the quality of air in his nursery in the dead of winter when throwing open the windows isn’t really an option:)

    Happy Blogiversary!

$500 at Lowe’s…what would I do? It’s a toss up between supplies for my basement makeover or a snow blower for the upcoming winter!

    Cheers!

We just moved so our lives fountain with projects to make things feel more like home. Right now the priority is to get the books off the floor with a DIY bookshelf and I’d love to have fun with an orbital jigsaw for this project.

We’re signing on a fixer-upper two family that’s already 1/2 under construction at the end of the week. We’ll be celebrating by pulling of the siding (well what’s still left of it) and deciding if we want to live in the 1/2 w/out floors/kitchen/bathroom or the 1/2 that needs the ceilings pulled and the walls knocked down! 500 would do wonders!

    GIMME THAT $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! If we were to win the $500 Lowe’s Gift Card it would truly be a blessing! We just bought our first house about 1 1/2 years ago. It’s so exciting and wonderful to have our own home, however, the previous owners didn’t take good care of the home. The white walls have marks and scratches all over the house but we have yet to paint because we can’t afford it. Also, the tiles in the bathrooms upstairs are beginning to turn yellow (not sure why but it looks disgusting!) so we would replace the tiles. Lastly, the front yard looks horrible! I’m not quite sure what the previous owner did (or didn’t do) to the yard but there is barely grass and they covered dirt spots with mulch! So…paint, yard, and tile!

Thanks so much for this opportunity!

GIMME THAT $500 … I think I’d use it for tile and supplies to retile the shower and bathtub surround. It’s been on the list for a year and it’s time! The shower has a gross sliding track door and it’s that fiberglass molded thing with shelves that have rounded edges so anything you put on them falls off. So annoying! I can’t wait to rip it out and tile!
