I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

We have a wooden milk crate hung by the door that we house our keys, cell phones, letters that need to be mailed etc… It is a little weird but we think it’s pretty neato!

One colorful/unique thing I have is two framed “blue dog” fans from Rodrigue. We got them for free during an art street fair when we were visiting New Orleans! I decided to frame them and play up the bright yellow eyes with yellow matting in the frame!

One of my favorite accent pieces in my home is the chalkboard in the kitchen. We had an old framed mirror that we revamped by taking the mirror out and spraying the frame teal. We then painted a section of the wall with chalkboard paint and hung the frame around it. Its now a place for notes and lists and unexpected greetings.
