I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

I don’t think there’s a room in my house without at least one bright colorful piece of furniture or object — yellow headboard in the bedroom, teal buffet table in the dining room, orange Kitchen Aide in the kitchen, blue lamp-bases in the living room, and the list could go on. I love pops of color in any room.

I have a white rhino head sticking out of my wall, it is quite big (i imagine its the size of a baby rhino head), and I am in love with it on so many different levels. I have a 4″ tall wooden chicken that my husband gave me on our first Valentine’s Day. The weird thing about it is that he gave it to me as an inside joke…one that, to this day, I can’t figure out! My husband just took a ceramics class and made a pretty cool ceramic surfboard that I put up to display on a shelf. He used to surf a lot so I love that it has special meaning. But I think the wierdest thing he made from that class was a ceramic batman clock. It’s pretty crazy and I don’t think he really knew what he was going for when he started it, haha, but I’m not exactly sure yet if we are going to keep it! ;)
