Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Fab Dot Com Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Fab.

    FAB ME!

I have a bright yellow print of a poster for a festival that was in the mountains of Germany. I didn’t go to the festival, but I visited the castle (!!!) it was hosted at when I went to visit family one summer. It’s a cheery reminder of that trip and it brightens up the space under the lofted bed in my dorm room.

I have a quirky, colorful painting that has our names and wedding date on it. It was a wedding present from a close friend that always makes me smile.

    Fab me!

I have a large white ceramic elephant that used to be my grandma’s. I remember sitting on it and pretending to go on safaris when I was a kid. It might not be colorful, but it’s certainly quirky.

    FAB MOI!!!

What comes to mind, and is fairly quirky for me, are the two dining room chairs of my grandmother’s that I just recovered with a bright gold chevron pattern- the dark wood against the bright gold looks good in my gray dining room!
    Thanks for the giveaway.

FAB ME! At a yard sale over a year ago, we came across a maroon ceramic tiger with shiny gold stripes. For $2.00 I HAD TO HAVE IT! It definitely looks like Battle Cat in a different outfit. It also most definitely doesn’t really go with anything else in our house yet we keep it on display for our own personal enjoyment ; ).

    FAB ME!

i didn’t want our living room to be formal or off-limits to our kids, so i added brightly colored pillows (fabric by Amy Butler) and sprayed one large frame, a letter B, and the coffee table knobs a deep blue. the rest of the room is very neutral, so these pops of color are fun and not too overdone! (um, i think…:)

    FAB ME!

My quirkiest is probably the glittery gold deer head in my dining room.

Or my scrabble magnets on a electrical panel door in my entryway. I always find new words that guest manage to sneak in without me seeing (I live in a small town so friends come and go as they please… we don’t knock or see people to the door).

Or my hot pink kitchen cabinets… ahh the joys of being a single homeowning girl!

    FAB ME!

I took a hollow core door and went crazy with the blues, greens and yellows paints. When dry, I used painter’s tape to tape off a herringbone pattern then painted the exposed areas white. It hangs above the couch and I love the color it brings into the room!

    FAB ME!
Our whole apartment is littered with paraphernalia from across the globe. One of my favorites is a map of Africa from 1921. It has water stains and its been taped to stay together, but I think it just adds character. That map sits next to a framed giant beetle from Indonesia. Love it!

FAB ME!!! The fun part of our house is definitely my youngest sons bedroom as I stick to all whites/creams/greys in the main living areas where he has dark grey walls with many mixed woods but then lots of mustard yellow accents with a woodland theme of owls, bears, bunnies, etc….his room feels like the most magical in the house!
