Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Fab Dot Com Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Fab.

Hmmm, the orange Ken Bailey dog poster that hangs in my son’s room. Just the right pop of whimsical.

The quirkiest thing in our home, by far, is a GIANT 22′ Green Monster mural. My husband is from Boston and it was important to bring a little Boston with us to NC.

FAB ME!! We don’t have anything too quirky right now which should explain the desire for a gift card from this company. We do have some fun pictures that will be going up in the baby’s room though.

FAB ME!!! I have a bright red china cabinet/hutch that I got for $50 off craigslist with the intention of refinishing it. But, I fell in love with the bright pop of color it brings to my dining room and have so far refused to change it!

My favorite quirky item in our house is our cow calendar from Scotland. We bought the first one on our honeymoon and have started the tradition of ordering them each year… and then of course, framing our favorite photos :)

My favorite quirky item that we have in our home is free postcard that I “won” at a city-wide antique/thrift market. It has a cartoon drawing of police officer in-between two teens and says “Who gave you permission to make love?” So odd!

My house is decorated with dozens of fun postcards picked up from various art museums during my travels. The frames very in size, but you always have to get pretty close to see what the picture actually is. I’d love to be able to snag a few fun prints from fab that can be seen from a distance.

Fab me! Our quirkiest decor is probably the yellow cow we got at Target (that you actually ended up featuring on a Window Shopping post)! He’s actually a dairy creamer, but travels around bringing bright cheer to the mantle, side tables, even the dining room on occasion. We need more quirky fun like him!

FAB ME! A rolodex style calender, originally from Australia, that made it’s way to my grandmother’s house in Italy by way of a traveling aunt. I had always loved changing the dates the few times i went to italy as a child and when i went back 2 years ago (in my 30’s) my grandmother still had it and let me take it home! It sits on my bookshelf in my family room and I love it!

Probably the quirkiest thing about my apartment is that I have a few small stuffed animals placed for decoration, but not in a creepy 20-something-pretending-to-be-12 way.. I have cool and interesting stuffed animals, like a Higgs Boson and Boober from Fraggle Rock.

A quirky item I have that I recently made my Mum give me is a old brandy bottle shaped like a genie bottle from the old 70’s “I dream of Jeanie”. I always remember as a kid looking down into the bottle imagining the Tv show. Only thing is not a fan of the color… would it be bad of me to spray paint it :)
