You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!
I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.
- PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

I think my quirkiest piece has to be a painting my Grandfather did for me of a wheat field. It was his first oil painting and kind of looks more like a bunch of blobs than actual pieces of wheat. I love it more than anything though and consider it one of my most prized possessions.

Fab me! I don’t think we have anything that quirky in our house…

FAB ME!! One of the first pieces of furniture I ever bought for myself was a bright red buffet that is slightly distressed. I’ve had it for 7 years now and it has always been the perfect pop of color in my kitchen. I still get compliments when visitors are over!!

Some of my quirkiest items actually came from fab. I’ve got 2 prints of animals wearing suits hanging in giant frames in my powder room. I love to see the reactions of friends and family. Most don’t know what to say :)
Michael says
Fab me! Maybe not the definition of quirky, but we have a photo of our 1925 house taken probably when the house was less than 10 years old. It was given to us by the former owners, and we love it!

Hubby and I have been married for a little over a year and are just starting to accumulate some “weird” things that we love. I especially love the wall of pictures on canvas that he took on all the trips we’ve taken together so far. It takes me back to all those vacations we’ve gone on together!

I have always loved ‘quirky’ but cant seem to think of much in my house that is. Or, maybe so much of it is quirky that I have no filter?? I do have a huge RESTAURANT sign in my kitchen. Does that count?
Julianne says
FAB ME!
I am looking forward to purchasing one of your light shades to add color to my foyer. Anything from Fab.com would also help :)
Manning says
Fab Me…two of my bedroom walls are painted lime green, while the other two are painted offwhite. Visitors think it’s too bright to sleep in, but I think it’s a great contrast with my navy bedding! The colors go great together without having to purchase many accessories.

I have an old funky tapestry hanging on the wall in our living room that my mom got for her first apartment back in the 70’s. I’m in a rental and our living room is pretty retro with faux wood paneling on both the walls AND ceiling so the tapestry fits right lol.

Whee! My aunt and sister’s paintings – love love them (of course :)

FAB ME! I have ceramic Siamese cat that was really ugly marble like. I spray painted it a deep red color. I got it at a flea market for $1.50. It is my favorite piece in my house, next to my rock collection ;)

FAB ME!!!! I love my wallpaper in my bathroom. Never was a fan of wallpaper, but this green/cream print (very inexpensive) caught my eye one day. My daughter said “if we ever move, I’ll miss that bathroom the most”. I need to buy some more rolls for the next possible house.
AnnMarie says
Fab Me! I love our turquoise fish plates that are hanging in the living room. I found them in an antique/consignment shop at the beach for a few bucks….spotted later at Mod Cottage for wayyyyy more! Score!!

FAB ME! I have 3 paint by number paintings my mom did in her twenties. They hung in our family’s lake cabin for years…when we sold the cabin I took the paintings. The frames they were in were made by my granddaddy and I painted them a turquoise color. They now hang in my sewing and craft room. Great giveaway!

FAB ME! My quirky thing is a photo of an old corn crib that I have hanging in my dining room. But there’s a story behind it! We tore the corn crib down and salvaged the wood. The wood was turned into my kitchen cabinets!
