I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

I have a photo wall in my living room, and all of the frames (which are all from the dollar store and Walmart type places), are painted orange! I took in the fabric from my accent pillows to create the paint color.

I have two quirky things I want to mention. The first is a giant lightbul light fixture. It’s a hanging fixture in the shape of a lightbulb. It was an awesome Christmas gift from my sister and her husband.
Secondly, I collect napkins. Yes, paper napkins that I pick up from people’s houses, parties, friends, etc. I had the brilliant idea to frame some of them last year so I did a little collage of frames and displayed some of my favourite napkins from my collection of over 400.

FAB ME! I have a very favorite unique critter in my bedroom. I got him when I was in high school and even though he is a bit out there, I love his beaded body. This lizard slyly creeps up my wall behind the dresser. It always gives guests a start when they see my foot long beaded lizard crawling out from behind the furniture.
