Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Fab Dot Com Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Fab.

The quirkiest thing in my home is actually my entire sewing/craft room. It’s painted varying shades of blue and is an anything goes space, with lots of fun fabrics and art prints everywhere. It gets my creativity flowing :)

FAB ME! I’d love to have some bold artwork to hang in our house. We’ve lived with a deep red on our living room walls for several years and I’m ready to paint the walls a more neutral color and just add some punches of color. This gift card would help get that started.

Bold patterns scare me. Haha! But I did get a little brave and painted a bold patten in my daughter’s bedroom – and I love it! Maybe that was just the shock therapy I needed to be more comfortable with bold. The giveaway will help to… ;)

FAB ME! I have a HUGE heavy metal leaf on the wall, at the bottom of the stairs leading to my basement. It’s a real statement piece. Adults love it but, little kids are scared of it. It’s a piece from Marshall’s but I found it in a thrift store. . .With the original price tag still on it!

FAB ME! Please? My favourite funky piece is a quilt my grandfather bought for my grandmother in Argentina many, many years ago that was later handed down to me. It’s purple with a cobalt blue border and cobalt blue embrordiery. It’s a conversation starter because it’s so beautiful and a piece I will hold near and dear to my heart forever.

FAB me!! Have to say a piece of art work (a collage) that I picked up on a trip about 12 years ago. It’s made the rounds in my house, but it’s fun and colorful. Never know where I might park it next!

    “FAB ME!”

I’ve obviously got some quirky decorating quirks, so this one really fits! :-) As I look around me this morning, I’d have to say something that most everyone would believe is quirky, or downright weird, would be an actual bright orange life preserver that was on an offshore drilling rig. It hangs on a large bright green brick wall that is in our sun room leading to the pool. I guess the other quirky thin g is that brick is covered with signatures of friends from many parties we’ve had here.

FAB ME! When we moved into our home I painted our living room a shade or two lighter than lime green. To this day it is called the margarita room, slime green room, and my house is called the corona bottle (yellow in the adjacent hallway)…but I love it and it makes me happy!
