Fab Freebie: The Simple Life

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Random.org is wishing a very happy new year to TWO of you by selecting you as our winners. And those lucky people is… KC (who after a recent move to a smaller space would really love to pare down her home to the bare essentials) and Katie (who needs to gets her computer files organized since she can’t find anything). Congrats!

Since ringing in the new year usually means ringing in some resolutions about simplifying or getting organized, simplify 101 might come in handy. They offer online workshops (as well as free guides) to help folks get organized, stay focused, and reach their goals – and include downloadable print and audio materials, a resourceful community, and access to professional instructors. So TWO of you are gonna win enrollment in your choice of either of these two upcoming workshops:

  • BONUS QUESTION: … what area of your life could use some un-complicating. Is it your pantry? Your relationship? Your closet? Your purse? Your job? Or just your DVR box?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 4th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two

As strange as it sounds, I need to clean out my parent’s basement! They’ve been wonderful about storing a bunch of my stuff while I lived in a tiny apartment, but it’s about time to move it or lose it!

I need to simplify my bedroom (slowly working on that), my closet (I reckon that will be next)… and then the attic and garage. Oh my, 20 years of stuff… I’ll be lucky if it ever gets done.

One of my favorite old coworkers used to say “keep it simple, stupid!” haha He was an old fart so I didn’t mind him suggesting I was stupid. It was at my first job and that place stressed me out, he always thought I was over thinking things, thus telling me to “K-I-S-S” lol

KEEP IT SIMPLE! My closet could use some organization for sure! I’m a clothes horse (of course a part-time retail job at Ann Taylor Loft doesn’t help that), and my closet was stuffed before getting married. But now that I’m a Mrs., and our closet has to house not just my clothes, but his clothes too, you can barely walk into our walk-in closet!

Keep it simple. Love it, I am always looking for ways to organize and simplify.

My kitchen cupboards could use an intervention for sure, as well as my handbag. My sisters cleaned it out once while on the way home from a day trip and were surprise to find ceramic tile, paint chips and paint stir sticks! I explained you never know when you may need that sort of thing. tee hee

My garage, oh my word. It holds craft supplies, the lawn stuff, paint, random assorted things I’d rather not look at right now. When we have to go take something out to the trash, we walk this zig zag crooked line and hope we don’t topple it all over.

KEEP IT SIMPLE! Since having kids, we lost our office (to a playroom) and our guest room/craft room (to a bedroom) and my husband and I need to organize and simplify our computer/office/craft/paperwork. Everything that used to have a dedicated home before the kiddos is now crammed into our bedroom and a small part of the living room.

And another area is my bedroom. I have a tiny room that has no closet space.. Needless to say I now have a rolling rack with the overflow of clothes that does not fit in my closet! HELP!!
