Always thought I wanted one, could never commit to a “design for life”, then was really happy as I looked at all the other farang (foreigners) on the beaches of Thailand and realized I was the only person without one! Now it’s more daring to not have a tattoo and I’m down with that.

I only have one tattoo for now – it’s a Celtic circle but instead of interwoven lines, it’s interwoven lizards (in an abstract design). I designed it off of a picture I found when I was in high school and my brother paid for it as a belated 21st birthday present as he was serving overseas when on my birthday. He put a shamrock in the middle to keep me safe. It’s something that I absolutely treasure! (it’s on my lower back, ya know – in the ‘tramp stamp’ spot)
