So I got a tattoo on my 18th birthday because I totally had that “I can do what I want” attitude. I got it on my foot, nothing wild and crazy, and then sat on my foot for three days before I told my parents. Ha. Real badass huh?!

TATTOOme!!! My friends are always SHOCKED that I do not have a tattoo (or nine). I think that in the past, it would seem like a natural thing for me to have, given my love for all things punk rock/new wave/heavy metal. But, as I wait for my 40th birthday to come around the corner next month, I can say for a FACT that I am happy I not my friends with the ill-concieved lower back tattoo procured on an equally ill-concieved trip to mexico. My sister and BFF passed away earlier that year and she loved celestial stuff, so its in rememberance of both of them. I really want to add on to it and make it more special, but the husb says no..
