Ever heard the phrase “go big or go home?” Apparently I had that in mind when I decided on a tattoo at the tender age of 18. I’ve got (just) one gigantic back piece of an hourglass, tiger lilies and red orchids. I love to decorate my house with those things too:) We could really use a new vacuum. We registered for the same one on the YHL “shop” list, but it was not fulfilled. Not complaining! We got tons of other great stuff! But, our 70 yr old hardwoods sure do get dusty!

I’ve thought a lawnmower tattoo on the bikini region would be funny…is that considered an inappropriate comment? Your rules say keep it classy & make mom proud…but it would make MY mom laugh. (We’re a little twisty that way.)

TATTOO ME! Or un-tattoo me, rather. I have a bleeding heart tattoo on my hip. I got it when I was 16 (eek!) when my friends mother took us to the tattoo parlor after hours. She had gotten a tattoo with a bad batch of ink and the color faded. While we were waiting, another tattoo artist asked if I wanted something done and 16 year-old me said ok! Luckily, it’s only the size of a quarter and is easily covered up. NEVER AGAIN! I hate it so much that sometimes I’ll cover it up with a band-aid.

I currently have 3 tattoos and am working on a 4th, 5th, 6th… who knows they are addicting ;) I got my first one when I turned 18, it is nothing special just a butterfly and it is faded now. But I don’t care; every tattoo is like a reminder of where I have been and who I was. They make me remember a different time in my life and different people who were there with me. Every one of them makes me smile.
