The only tattoo I’ve ever had was a cross on the inside of my ankle I gave myself using a sterilized sewing needle and ink from a Bic pen. I was in middle school, my parents were gone, and my best friend and I were watching Sleepless in Seattle. The tattoo lasted several years.
