I always take pictures of the beach during vacation, but this year is the first time myself & my husband woke up early (especially difficult for people who go to bed at 2am) to walk 40ish minutes down the beach to the perfect location just to shoot the sun rising over the ocean.

It’s a really cool silhouette shot taken at sunset on the sand dunes in The Outer Banks, NC. I sporadically stopped on my drive to someone’s house because I’d never seen the dunes before, and it was one of my best solo travel experiences ever. And one of my best Instagram photos. :)
