I have this thing with the back of my son’s neck. We live close to a river and an old estate lets people in the neighborhood gain access to their fitness trail so we take our son there for walks all the time. There is a staircase that leads down to a small dock on the river and we like to sit there and watch ducks and paddle boarders and whathave you. One evening the sun was setting perfectly and just set this orangey glow across everything and it set up the perfect from behind shot that just makes me smile because of how perfect the back of my son’s neck is and what a beautiful picture the sunset created.

… My favorite photo from this summer is of my husband and I on top of grandfather mountain we had the camera on automatic and thought it would only take one but I had it set on the six photo set. It caught us off guard and the photos are hilarious!

POP ME crazy…this summer has been a whirlwind for us. There is, however, an obvious favorite picture of mine which really sums up the craziest, most wonderful part of our summer. Our little boy was born! It’s a picture of my husband holding our baby boy for the first time and I think really realizing that he’s a daddy now. My husband had a tear in his eyes and baby boy was looking wide-eyes and alert right at him. So sweet. They’ve been enamored with each other ever since. :) So blessed.
