My favorite picture of the summer is one that was taken at the zoo. My husband and daughter were looking in the penguin tank when one came right up to the glass and was nose to nose with my daughter. She was so excited! I can’t believe I actually caught it on film! :)

This was the summer of the kittens for us… we had 11 show up on our property within the space of a month that we had to take to our local no-kill shelter (that shelter, by the way, is the crazy thrift shop/humane society in Brevard, NC where Clara was obsessed with the kitties :-)) Anyway, my favorite summer pic would probably be one of the many I took of those cute furry faces.

I have a few favourites from this summer – I took a two-week road trip with my sons, and drove over 3400 km! Probably my favourite (for now) is the one of them in the Hoodoos, near Drumheller, Alberta. They look so serious, which they’re really not.
