I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. CULTIVATE ME! I took the quiz and it said my style is modern! Very surprised. I do like modern houses and design. My house is probably not super modern. More transitional maybe? I call it natural casual with some industrial touches.

Cultivate me! I got transitional, daring with a nod to the past. Yep, that surprises absolutely no one who knows me! I like things to be not-too-busy, easy to clean, lots of space to move around, and plenty of in-kitchen seating/buffet space for snack-time, lunches, and cocktail parties. But after so many years in industrial kitchens, it has to have some style and flare to it.

My result was Eclectic and pictured a green/purple/gardeny kitchen. Although I was slightly surprised that it didn’t show an all-white kitchen (I love me some white cabinets!), I wasn’t completely surprised by the colorful picture because I love color in all my rooms. I also feel that the Eclectic result is accurate for my entire house’s style.

I was determined to have a Transitional style, which sort of surprised me. I’ve always thought of myself as a modern purist taking a lot of influence from Scandinavian design. However, after I looked at the photos of the Transitional style I found that they were all fresh and earthy- bright white cabinets and reclaimed wood, and well, yes, that is who I am. Nailed it!
