Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    Cultivate Me!

    Couldn’t take the quiz either, it froze me out on the last page! But, on several of the pages I didn’t really like either of the kitchens, so I can’t say that I would have believed the results. And you without a white kitchen…impossible!

    CULTIVATE ME! I’m not sure if my difficulty with the quiz was the site or me (my laptop has been squirrelly for the past couple of weeks). However, over three home purchases in the last 15 years, only one house was what we set out to buy. The other two were far different and truly fit our family’s lifestyle, as it turned out. When we looked at them – in the case of our most recent house, I went under protest – we immediately knew the house/property were right even though looking at the listings online we never would have guessed in a million years that we’d end up there. The gut is a poweful thing!

    Cultivate Me!!!!! We have our current house on the market and the one that we will (hopefully!) be buying needs a kitchen reno so this would be AWESOME!!!!! :) :) :)

    My style was Transitional and the description was right on with my taste!

    Cultivate me bebe! I scored a ‘transitional’ on the quiz. I think it’s right on. I’m about to pull an overhaul on my kitchen after the Christmas holiday, painting (‘antique-ing’)the cabinets, new floors. EEE!! :D

    CULTIVATE ME! I’m always looking for kitchen inspiration – and according to the quiz, I have transitional style, which is pretty accurate. Can’t wait to spend more time browsing the site for ideas!
