Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!
I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Timeless, refined, and sophisticated, this style is for those who are more daring than traditional design but still love a good nod to the past.
Perfect! We’re redoing the kitchen of our 1800 New England cape and it is hard making it look period accurate while still being modern. We chose dark walnut hardwoods, white cabinetry, bright yellow walls and stainless steel with blue accents everywhere. Its a work in progress!

I took the quiz and I do not agree with it! Transitional: “more daring than traditional design but still love a good nod to the past” I’m definitely more daring, but I love sleek modern kitchens with splashes of color. I am not a fan of traditional design in pretty much anything! Ha. It was still a fun quiz, even if I didn’t like a single picture in the gallery ;)

My quiz result was transitional, but I don’t find it to be particularly accurate. For many of the questions, I didn’t love either option. They were all so sleek and shiny! I’m more of a country gal. I like my home to be busy and colorful and full of different textures and patterns!
