Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    Quiz is down, but will check back. I’m dying to know what my kitchen style is since a kitchen remodel is in my future within the next year (I hope).

      Okay – It worked the next time I tried. I’m transitional. Which doesn’t surprise me too much. BTW I love the white on white kitchens too.

    CULTIVATE ME!

    I was able to take the quiz, although it tried to crash a couple of times, but I was a persistent booger.

    It said my style was more traditional. “Formal, classic, and cozy, this style is for those who think a kitchen isn’t complete without crown molding and vintage charm. You’re inspired by the past and love the stately feel that antique finishes and framed cabinetry exudes.” I do think that I lean that way, but I’m definitely not overly antiquey… crown molding, YES. Framed cabinetry.. YES. Antiquey.. no. But I’m definitely not modern. I’m more rustic.. rustic/industrial. Some of the traditional I picked because I loved the light fixtures only. LOL

    Cultivate me! My style I think would have been transitional (site kept crashing) which is pretty accurate. I sure do love those white kitchens with classic lines.

    Cultivate me! It said im eclectic but Im not so sure! I like a little bit of this and that but also a little flare of traditional too. Love you guys!!!!

    I got Transitional, which I think is pretty accurate. I like clean lines and sleek surfaces, paired with warm colors and personal details.

    Cultivate me! My style is transitional! I would say that is right on. I’m very traditional, but I’m changing more toward modern, open, and airy!

    Cultivate me! Tried taking the quiz, but it sent me an error message. Guessing the site is crashed? I’ll try again later! Typically I like an all white not too modern, but not too traditional kitchen. We’ll see what that translates into when I re-take the quiz!

    I am transitional. Spot on. I love going for modern looks but keeping some older traditional elements.
