Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    CULTIVATE ME!!! Haven’t taken the quiz yet. You guys are just soooo popular. But I love traditional w/ a twist. Like for my stove backsplash I found 2 retro tin advertisements and used those. Just keeping guests on their toes! LOL

    CULTIVATE ME! Transitional – I love the character of older homes, but need a modern twist on them to make them current and my own. P.s. I love that blue stove in one of the photos on the quiz…dreamy!

    … and the result said Eclectic, but I had to start & stop so many times I think it is confused (plus the example shot is gross & I didn’t even pick it!). Still fun either way.

    Transitional. I love a kitchen that you feel comfortable enough to relax in. I’m often found reading in my kitchen; it’s that warm and cozy.

    Cultivate Me! My style results came out as contemporary. I thought I was more country cottage, but it makes sense because I like clean lines and sleek details but need a strong grounding of warmth. But I also enjoy pops of bright color!

    Apparently, I am “Transitional”, as far as kitchens go. And, I would have to agree. A little bit of classic mixed with a little bit of boho funk and a dash of simplicity thrown in is just right!

    Timeless, refined, and sophisticated, this style is for those who are more daring than traditional design but still love a good nod to the past. I like it! :)

    Cultivate Me. I’m a white kitchen/subway tile kind of gal. But you never know. I’m waiting to take the quiz when it’s back up and running to see if perhaps my style is something other than what I think it is :)
