Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    Cultivate Me! We rent right now, but $200 would go a long way to make our builder grade kitchen feel more Contemporary (which is what I got on the quiz and is totally accurate) :)

    my style is “transitional” which i think is accurate– i like to mix “modern lines with classic elements”.

    I certainly don’t see my current kitchen in there, 70’s with dark cheap cabinets. Glad to see my current kitchen couldn’t be my current style. I can’t wait to see what my style is once the site is back up. I also need my husband to take the quiz as we are thinking about redoing our kitchen by the end of the year. Hopefully the quiz will compromise our tastes.

    CULTIVATE ME! The quiz site is still down, but I’ll assess my own style: In my head it’s modern-minimalist, but I use my kitchen too much for that to be practical. It’s more like colorful-eclectic and very, very lived in :)

    CULTIVATE ME!!! I couldn’t take the quiz either… sadness. But it would be fun I’m sure. If I won $200 I’d probably upgrade my cookware. I just got a Le Creuset dutch oven for my birthday and now I want more to replace my other cheap stuff!

    CULTIVATE ME! The questions took a while to load, but the site is working for the most part. My style is contemporary, which surprised me. I thought of myself as more traditional. :)

    I made it all the way through the quiz, but the last page wouldn’t load :( I’m going to go ahead and say contemporary haha. That seems like my type ;)
