Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    CULTIVATE ME! I didn’t take the quiz but I am always surprised when I take quizzes like that because the results are usually not what I am expecting. Maybe I have NO style! :(

    The quiz said I favored a Traditional style … and representing “Traditional” was a photo that I not only did not select when it came up in the quiz, but I thought was the ugliest one in the whole series. So who knows what I actually like!

    I was completely caught off guard that my style was ‘contemporary.’ I have a craftsman style house so I thought my choices were more traditional.

    I absolutely loved my Transitional result! I am definitely one of those people that likes to use trends in a way that doesn’t make them trendy. I’m all about the blend of timelessness and hip!

    Cultivate Me! It shows my style as Transitional, which is accurate, though I think I lean more towards the contemporary side of transitional rather than the traditional side.

    The quiz says I’m transitional. I guess that’s right. I like the clean lines of modern, but don’t like things to be totally stark.

    cultivate me!! i got contemporary, which i feel is pretty accurate. i love pops of bright color and light wood tones. not so much frosted cabinets, though.

    CULTIVATE ME! It said my style was “Transitional”, which I guess makes sense as I like the clean lines of modern kitchens, but with a healthy serving a cozy thrown in!

    My kitchen style is transitional, which makes sense – I love a bright white kitchen with traditional tile backsplash to contrast with honed concrete countertops. Delish!
