Fab Freebie: A Cultivated Kitchen

Sorry for the hit-and-miss quiz taking y’all. Apparently you guys enjoy a good quiz as much as we do! Anyways, the lucky (random) winner this week is… Kate Bateman (who was able to get a quiz result and said her “Traditional” diagnosis was almost spot on). Congrats!

I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. The folks behind some of our favorite stores (West Elm, Williams-Sonoma, and Pottery Barn) have a sister site chock full of kitchen inspiration called Cultivate. In addition to photo galleries, expert advice, and a blog, they’ve also got one of our favorite ways to kill a few minutes: a Find Your Style quiz. Just pick your favorite between 10 pairs of photos and get ready for your diagnosis. And to help you put your kitchen prescription into action, they’re giving one of you a $200 gift card to use at Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, or West Elm. Sweet. Update: We hear the quiz is still running very slowly/crashing. Looks like Cultivate wasn’t quite ready for all of you quiz-loving folks. So sorry about that, guys!

    Cultivate me! The quiz says my style is Traditional, butI mostly like Transitional spaces. While I like classical touches, I enjoy putting a fun twist on them!

    Cultivate me! My style was eclectic! Creative, imaginative, and unexpected, this style is for design aficionados who have a personality and aren’t afraid to show it! You love merging design styles and collected pieces to create your own personal blend. Mixing materials, textures, and patterns in a new way is your bread and butter.

    Cultivate Me! My style is transitional, which is perfect! It said more daring then traditional but a good nod to the past :-)

    CULTIVATE ME! Mine was (finally) transitional, which seems to fit my style well. A nice mix of traditional with some modern touches.

    Cultivate me! Sadly the quiz crashed on me about 5 times, someday I’ll get to complete it! I love white, bright kitchens. Which is funny because my current kitchen has cherry cabinets and I still love it :)

    CULTIVATE ME!
    It said my style was Contemporary and the description pretty well matched what I think I like, a softer modern with some warmth. I didn’t like the picture of the kitchen that it displayed though, I guess as an example.

    Traditional! There were so many kitchens that I love it was quite tough to decide – but in the end it pegged me right on! I love big, bright, family centered kitchens :) Happy Holidays!!

    Cultivate me! The quiz told me I’m transitional style, which sounds exactly right. I just wish I could find a way to execute at home.

    CULTIVATE ME! My style is transitional which wasn’t a surprise but sounds a lot nicer than the 1989 kitchen my fiancé and I are rocking right now! We moved in last month and decided to give ourselves a year of living with the kitchen before ripping it out, to see how we like the function and flow. I don’t know if I’ll make it! The cheap finishes, brass track lighting, and black glass backsplash are just too Scarface for my taste!

    It was slow but came up with “Transitional”. Pretty accurate – I love to mix clean lines with some traditional elements! Great site – Thanks!
