I bet most of you guys spent a fair amount of time in the kitchen over the last few days, and if it had you yearning to make some changes in there, you’ve stumbled onto the right giveaway. I got transitional, spot on. We just bought a new house 3 weeks ago. So far the heat has broken twice, the toilets both broke, the wiring shorted, the garage door snapped, and the oven broke. Needless to say I’m putting my name in this hat. Cultivate me!

CULTIVATE ME! My style result was “transitional” and I think it is perfect. I love the contemporary look but I love the incorporation of history. I love little stories about things in a room, or a house. The personal details of a lovely, inanimate object/house make it real and more like home.

According to the quiz, I’m ‘transitional’. I’d say that’s pretty accurate. We always joke that my boyfriend’s style is ‘Early American Bachelor Mountain Man’ – too bad that’s not a Cultivate style option (it involves lots of leather, plaid, and uncomfortable furniture inherited from relatives)!

Cultivate Me! I learned my style was modern, which surprised me. I came from a home where we had a very country style kitchen, so maybe I’m subconsciously rebelling against that design.
