Fab Freebie: A Literal Fab Freebie

***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

You guys hit the 10,000 entry cap to giveaway within 24 hours, so you must love some Fab as much as I do (or perhaps you just like $500). Either way, we’ve crowned a random winner and it is… Whitney (who says “Most of my apartment is muted gray, yellow, and blue, but my kitchen has bright red baking dishes on display.”) Congrats Whitney!

I’m a recent addict to Fab (I own more t-shirts from there than I probably should admit). So imagine my reaction when I got an email from them offering to do a – wait for it – $500 Fab gift card giveaway for you guys. Their site includes items marked down between 10-60% from retail prices across just about every category – home, accessories, art, kitchen, pets, kids, clothing, jewelry, etc. And everything is selected with a discriminating-but-not-too-serious design eye. There’s an emphasis on quirky, weird, and colorful items within their sales… which means there’s a lot of fun to be had while spending the five hundred beans that are up for grabs.

Fab Dot Com Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $500 gift card toward Fab
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “FAB ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …what’s something weird, quirky, or colorful in your home that you love? Is it a bold art print in your entryway? An armchair with a happy pattern in your living room? Or several dozen ceramic animals placed throughout your house… not that we’d know anything about that.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, January 30th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond specific areas (more on that here). This giveaway is open to the United States, Canada, and much of Europe (click here for a specific list of countries)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
  • ***COMMENT ISSUES? If you’re trying to enter but keep getting a “duplicate comment” warning, click here to see how to solve it!

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Fab.

    FAB ME!!
I own a pair of mannequin legs that I bought several years ago at a store closing sale. They’ve made quite a conversation piece!

    FAB ME!!!!!

Hi!! My home is very eclectic so there are honestly many things that are weird that I love! My sister had my college sorority shirts made into a t-shirt quilt for Christmas so that’s very high on my list! I have also started a gallery wall (your hall gave me the inspiration) and most of it is DIY so all of the special meanings really pull a few heart strings each time! OH one of my favorite weird things on the gallery wall is a piece of artwork from my fur baby, Oliver! I but black paint on his two front paws and let him go crazy!

I am a young homeowner and you guys are a total inspiration, THANK YOU!!

Please oh, please! I love trees, they are beautiful, bold and strong. I have thick long willow branches, all squiggly and think hung on our entry wall. I love them and they create such dept and texture. Kinda weird to hang dead tree limbs, but they fit our family. Plus, the branches are from out family farm.

    FAB ME!

Something colorful and quirky in my house is a large canvas photo that our wedding photographer made for us. It was taken on a graphic yellow and black painted city wall in downtown Pasadena and has my husband and I duplicated 3 times, first looking at each other, than moving closer, than kissing in the middle.

    Thanks again for the giveaway!

    Fab Me!

Our house (err, my dad’s) has pretty subdued rooms as far as the color of the furniture, floor, and walls. So I tend to lean towards buying colorful accessories to bright things up! My latest purchase is a bright blue hurricane from a resale shop. It looks like something from Crate & Barrel but it only cost me $3.50! It definitely spices up our less than colorful dining room!

A little color goes a long way, but a lot of color can be spectacular. A recent addition to my home’s walls is a mural of all the extra colored glass tiles I had from samples at work. I made a 12″x60″ mosaic of all the tiles I had from the muted grays to pops of bright yellow and green.

We picked up all of these for a grand total of $12 from garage sales and the local thrift store. I’m gonna pop some tags, got 20 dollas in my pocket! That one’s for you $herdog!

It’s probably a toss up between my headless-and-armless bust that sports pearls most of the year, and my horned, hand-carved Noh mask. I’m planning on painting the latter a nice, bright color soon, so maybe it’ll win out once that happens.

    Thanks!
